And the baby turns 3!

I know its been over a month and I will try to do a quick post on all the holiday festivities but for now I wanted to share that

MY BABY IS 3!

I can not believe how fast time has gone. Aislinn has turned in to an amazing little girl. She is full of spunk and character. She loves to do her own thing and has not problem telling it like it is. This last year has been an amazing sign of how she is no longer a baby. She is completely potty trained, sleeps in a big girl bed and goes to preschool part time. She loves to sing and dance and has a major sweet tooth. Since her birthday falls so close to Christmas we often struggle with when/how to pull of a birthday celebration after all the festivities of Christmas and New Years.
This year we had originally planned a joint birthday party with her BFF (whose birthday is 2 weeks later) but with my impending surgery (will post about later) we wernt sure if we could pull it off. We did our family birthday party last nigh at Sunday night dinner but I still wanted to do something with her friends. We toyed with a few ideas and then this morning we woke up, wished our princess a happy birthday with cupcake shaped pancakes, texted a few of her friends and pulled off a Birthday play date at a local bounce house. It was a BLAST! The kids jumped and played, had cake balls for desert and chick fila for lunch. After lunch we headed home for some birthday naps, then outside to ride her new bike. We finished the evening with dinner at home and then the girls made cupcakes for desert. Overall it was a great birthday!
