Celebrating 30....man style!

As most of you know my wonderful Hubby celebrated his 30th birthday a few weeks ago. We opted to not do a huge party since we partied like rock stars on his 28th.

So this year we went for something a little "low key" We had dinner with some friends on Sat, took the kids to Grapefest

 

 and then regular Sunday dinner with his parents. They served his favorite meal and German chocolate cake

So in order to keep expenses down and since Sean really didn't feel like making a big deal about this certain birthday I decided to get a little creative with his present. We conducted our own "Octoberfest" in September. I bought 4 different types of October Fest beer and we proceeded to rank them from our personal favorite to ehhh prob wont buy again

#1: "Allerbest"

Rahr Octoberfest (not really a surprise to us...we are pretty big Rahr fans)

#2 do-againer

 Leinenkugel Octoberfest (say that 3 times fast)

#3 ehh not the worst we've had

Shiner Octoberfest (actually a little surprising..we actually expected Shiner and Rahr to be neck & neck)

#4 not a do-againer

St. Arnold Octoberfest (def a beer that we wont buy again but I wanted at least 4 types for this experiment)

All in all it was a fun way to celebrate my wonderful hubby's 30th Birthday!

BUT...........

What McKee celebration would be complete without a Ranger's game?

Thanks to some great friends we got a KILLER DEAL for the ALDS game 1

 (although they lost that game...they redeemed themselves with the rest of the series)

So in conclusion...this is how the McKee men say goodbye to another decade...stay tuned in a few months to see how McKee women ring in a new decade
