Our attempt at family pictures

For anyone that has ever had a 2 year old you know how "wonderful" it is to try to take any resemblance of family pictures. In an effort to save money and knowing full well that we were probably not going to get a good pic anyway we got dressed up...grabbed the digital cameras and with the assistance of my parents headed to a local walking path for what we were sure was going to be an adventure.

This is the best "posed" picture we took. Aisy isnt looking and is pretty much pouting but you know Aisy :)

Last years photo session was a similar experience. We had the pleasure of having our pictures taken by a high school friend that happens to be a great professional photographer in California. She held a website contest and yours truly won the free session. You can review her blog post here but it was pretty much the same thing...the rest of us smiling like fools and Aislinn acting crazy!

A part of me wants to mark this session as a FAIL because I cant seem to find one that I feel is "photo frame" ready...but then again I kind of felt the same way last year. I think we are all too judgemental and critical of ourselves and don't allow for a little freedom with creativity. We had an amazing photographer last year and in the end I did find a picture that I framed and stared at everyday

So I am hoping that one from this round will jump out at me as well so if you have any advise or want to help me choose my "photo fame wall hanging stare at everyday" pic for 2011 I am taking suggestions
